Live2D Cubism SDK Terms

This provision forms part of the terms governing use of Live2D functionality in Larch.

Required SDK notice

This application contains Live2D Cubism SDK developed by Live2D Inc. of which the copyrights are held by Live2D Inc. If this application is utilized as a primary element of a business* and its annual sales made directly or indirectly by this application or content produced by this application exceed 20 million JPY, you shall be obliged to execute Publication License Agreement with Live2D Inc. and pay required license fee. You shall also be obliged to immediately notify Live2D Inc. when the annual sales exceed 20 million JPY. Any violation of these obligations means the utilization of Live2D Cubism SDK beyond the scope permitted by Live2D Inc. with regard to this application and the infringement of intellectual property rights of Live2D Inc., and you may receive legal claims from Live2D Inc.

* “Utilizing this application as a primary element of a business” includes but not limited to operating a VTuber streaming business. It does not include streaming video contents for sales promotion.

Publisher-provided models and closed upload pilot

By default, Larch provides only Live2D models selected and deployed by Yayapipi Studio. General end users cannot upload, import, add, link, or replace models with their own Live2D models or model files. Users may select from the publisher-provided models and use the motions and expressions made available for the selected model.

A product-interest waitlist may ask about intended use and an acceptable future add-on price. Joining the waitlist does not enable custom-model functionality and the waitlist form itself does not accept Live2D files, download links, or model3.json URLs.

Yayapipi Studio may manually approve individual accounts for a closed upload pilot. Approved accounts may upload a Live2D model folder only through the designated private-workspace test interface. Pilot models cannot be published to the Showcase or Marketplace, shared by public project link, or used in a project with collaborators. Participants must hold all rights and permissions required for every uploaded model and related asset. Pilot access may be suspended or revoked at any time.

Sample model attribution

Where Larch makes an official Live2D sample model available, the model remains owned and copyrighted by Live2D Inc. Each model entry identifies its applicable character-specific restrictions and required attribution. Larch links to the versioned files published by Live2D and does not grant any additional rights in those files.

This content uses sample data owned and copyrighted by Live2D Inc. The sample data are utilized in accordance with terms and conditions set by Live2D Inc. This content itself is created at the author’s sole discretion.

Official terms

Live2D functionality and sample data remain subject to the applicable terms published by Live2D Inc., including the Cubism SDK licensing information and Sample Data Terms.
